Rory Feek Tearfully Accepts First Grammy And Dedicates Award To His Late Wife

The 2017 Grammys are underway and they’re already an emotional event. Last year was jam-packed with incredible music, but we also lost many talented performers, one of those being country music star Joey Feek.

Joey was diagnosed with cancer in 2014 and relapsed in 2015 after a short remission. Sadly, she passed away on March 4, 2016, but not before releasing Hymns That Are Important to Us with her husband, Rory Feek. The couple detailed Joey’s last moments very publicly on social media, sharing these interactions with their fans to give a glimpse into their journey. In the year since her death, Rory has been vocal about his love for his wife and honoring her memory in all that he does.
