Rosalia Lobardo is one of the world’s best preserved mummies. She died as a little girl more than a century ago in Palermo, Sicily. Her embalming was done by a Sicilian embalmer by the name of Stefano Salafia and is generally considered to be near-perfect work. Little is known of the girl that’s since been dubbed ‘Sleeping Beauty’, except one very mysterious thing: she appears to open and close her eyes.
